Fruitcake Film
Festival
Greensboro, NC
December 21, 2004
When the guys at
the Triad
Indie Film Network say "short," they mean short.
This Christmas-themed "Short Shorts" festival,
scheduled for the Green
Bean in downtown Greensboro Dec. 21, invites films ranging
from 3 minutes (the longest) to 10 seconds!
To make things still
more challenging, the categories have wacky themes. In the Fruitcake
category, films must star a fruitcake. Other categories include:
-
A' Caroling
(your Christmas musical)
-
We Spoof You
a Merry Christmas (spoofs of Christmas films)
-
The 12 Holiday
Props [films must feature a dozen weird things: a wrapped
present, dreidel, maize (corn), mistletoe, wreath, eggnog, ham,
Santa Hat, stocking, holiday lights, straw placemat, sufganiyot
(fried jelly doughnut)]
Write a script that
includes all these if you can! First time filmmakers are encouraged
to submit.
The festival itself
begins at 8pm and admission is free.
